You sell things. I photograph them.
Together let's bring your vision to life!

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY

on location!
         ^

When you are a maker, illustrator, baker, shop-owner, or anything else that involves selling a product directly to customers, you need images of said products. Bad quality images turn potential customers away, but great images sell themselves.

I'll work with you to photograph as many of your products as you can (figuratively) throw at me. Your gallery of edited images will come a few weeks later, and with a few clicks you'll be ready to share with the world.

Let's work together on-location - be it a studio, a rented farmhouse, or your shop - to get the product photos you need for your business.

It's like glamour shots for your products, minus the big hair.

Get started for $750, or $275 monthly.

It's your            , make it look awesome.

Walk through the process step-by-step below!

I'll start working on your session plan and send a summary over to you to review. Prior to your photo session, we may hop on a call (or at least keep in contact via email) to finalize details, such as location, date and time, and overall vibe.

Is your question not answered here? Send me an email!

Fill out the contact form below to let me know you're interested. I'll send over an email with pricing and other information.

Once we chat and make sure we're the right fit for each other, the process begins with a questionnaire to get to know more about you and your brand.

After the session I'll be hard at work culling and editing your images. Turnaround time is 14 business days or less from your shoot day.

If you've requested a proofing gallery, your turnaround time begins from proof selection.

Before your session, I'll send over a questionnaire that helps me to learn a bit more about your brand and your overall vision. You'll have the chance to fill me in on things like preferred photo orientation, must-have photos, and more.

We'll work together to plan for your session so that we're both on the same page, which will require you to create - at the very least - a general shot list. This keeps the session moving along as we make the most efficient use of our time.

If you know more specific types of images you're looking for - say a variety of header images with empty space for text in the center - make a list of those so we can be sure to get them!

In-person sessions take a some additional planning and coordination.

With either session I start by sending a questionnaire to learn more about your brand and products. With an in person shoot, the client is on-location to make adjustments and suggestions as we go along. This can be great for people who have a specific vision and would prefer to have some control over the styling.

Typically, Product in a Box shoots are flatlay or styled product images that focus primarily on the product up close. On-location sessions tend to (but don't always) incorporate a human or lifestyle element interacting with the product.

Unsure which is right for you? Take the quiz or send me an email!

I've photographed products in photography studios (with lighting and without), a client's shopbakeries and cafés, wineries, outsideeven in a shop's bathroom.

You get the idea - on-location product shoots can happen in any place that works for your brand and your vision for that particular shoot.

It all depends on what type of imagery you're envisioning.

Let's say your product is a custom tote bag. Do you want it photographed with a human holding the bag such that that the product is still the main (and obvious) focus, like in this example? That's on-location product photography.

Do you want a human living their best life - maybe sipping a latte in a café - while they happen to be holding your pouch, which may or may not be the obvious focus of the photo (like in this example)? That's brand storytelling.

But at the end of the day, your shoot will be entirely based around your needs. Both on-location product photography and brand storytelling photography are the same price, and the biggest difference is the number of images delivered.

Instead of booking separate sessions through the year, I offer subscriptions where you'll get images monthly or quarterly delivered to your inbox.

What's the big deal? Let's make a list, shall we?

•Subscribers get a discounted rate vs one-off photo sessions!

•A smaller, recurring monthly payment to make bookkeeping simple

•Use your photo allotment how you wish - monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly - whatever works best for your needs

•Subscriber-only stock library - even more images at no extra charge!

Food photography is its own beast in the photography world, and it can get very intense. Personally, I love to work with bakeries, cafés, and small food-related businesses for their food photography. Don't worry, I'm still legit - I use lights and shoot tethered to my laptop and use a hefty tripod with a long-arm attachment - but I prefer the laid back vibe of working with a small business than the more stressful environment of specialized food photography, which can involve food stylists, art directors, and others.

That said, when it comes to the scope of work involved on my end, shooting product and food on-location are very similar, so they are priced the same way. Eventually I will split food into its own page, but for now you can see my food portfolio here.
